Google search console ownership verification process
Google Search Console (GSC) is a web service that helps webmasters monitor their website's URL inspection, Indexing, crawling, Mobile usability, Breadcrumb, page experience, Sitemap, website performance, etc. It was known as Google WebmasterTools, but in 2015 It was renamed as Google Search Console in May.
If you want to get these benefits, your website must be added to the Google search console, and when you go to add a website to the Search Console, Ownership verification will be required. It means that you have to verify that website. So let's know how to add a website to the Google search console and do ownership verification.
Google Search console ownership verification:
First of all, go to Google search console and log in with your email-
Then click on Start Now as below.
You can see 2 options below, since we will add our entire website to the search console, so we will choose the first option "Domain".
Click on Continue with domain name here.
Then copy the codes-
Now go to the domain admin panel to verify ownership of your domain.
My domain is from Namecheap so I will log in here.
"Navigate to 'my account' via the domain administrator panel."
Then go to “Advanced DNS” of that domain from the domain list.
After waiting for Advance DNS, click on Add new record under "HOST Record".
At this point, it's essential to include a DNS record:
Record Type: TXT record
Host:@
Value: Here the codes obtained from the Search console should be given.
TTL: Automatic
When everything is finished, click on Save Changes.
Our New DNS record has been added.
Return to the search console and select 'Verify'
Finally, our Search console ownership verification is complete, now you can take all kinds of services from Google Webmaster Tools.
